Stage 1 · History
Taken properly, with time to answer.
Four services, all provided by GMC-registered doctors.
Most of the useful information in medicine is in the history, and taking one properly takes longer than a short appointment allows. We also say plainly when something needs investigating, a specialist, or simply time — and when the honest answer is that the NHS is the better route for what you need.
Taken properly, with time to answer.
Before any plan is made.
Explained, with the reasoning.
Including when the NHS is better.
For your age and risk, not a panel.
Taken, with timescales given.
In a conversation, including borderline.
Arranged where something needs it.
A screening result emailed without context causes more anxiety than it resolves. Every result is explained in a conversation, including the borderline ones, and we are honest that screening finds incidental things that then need following up — which is part of the decision to screen at all.
Some vaccine courses need weeks to complete and some need boosters spaced apart, so coming in a fortnight before a trip limits what is possible. We assess the actual itinerary rather than the country, because risk varies enormously within one.
Regions, rural or urban, and season.
Assessed against your history.
Timed so courses can complete.
Certificates and documentation given.
Always first. No exceptions.
Formed properly, then documented.
Where it is justified.
Where it is not, with the reason.
These follow a consultation rather than replace one. We will not issue a sick note, a letter or a prescription without seeing you and forming a clinical view — including when that means declining. Controlled drugs carry additional limits we follow without exception.
Book one, with a short note on what brings you. We reply within one business day.
